While planning a dinner party, I wanted to find the perfect way of providing some candy for guests (please see the older post on Candy Buffets!). Simply tying the candy with ribbon was dull. Using velum made the table look like a children’s party. Then, came the results of a Google Search: Gail Watson Sugar Boxes
Think outside the “sugar box” and use these sugar boxes any chance you can. They are not just for weddings anymore!

Wedding Favors anyone? After reading this, you simply will not allow any “plain” wedding favors at any of the events you help plan. Take a look at Gail Watson’s Site
for the beautiful favors that you can have.
Gail Watson is not just sugar boxes, and not just wedding cakes. Gail Watson is also wedding favors (and how could you say NO to those adorable marshmallows pictured below?)!!

Actually, this is more of a tip for after the wedding. We came across a unique way to showcase your wedding gown: The Bridal Armoire Company has a fantastic service where they will make an armoire to fit your dress!

If you are unsure about your exact measurements (maybe you have a special antique dress and don't know its exact size?), you can contact the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists (AWGS) and they'll help you determine the measurements so that your bridal armoire can be customized perfectly to your dress.

And now for some of the pictures of the work done by The Bridal Armoire Company

A Cup Of Glee - Weekly Newsletter - Finger Sandwiches or Tea Sandwiches

Welcome to the Blog for Fancy That!
We proudly call our blog “A Cup of Glee.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR! and thank you for stopping by.

Today, we are talking about Finger Sandwiches also called Tea Sandwiches.

Table Talk
(Manners and TableTop Tips)
Even though National Sandwich Month is many months away (August of each year!...what a great idea for a party!), it's never too early to plan and never too late to learn how to make the perfect tea sandwhich.

At this point, I bet you are already rolling your eyes because you are thinking that your tea sandwiches always turn out smooshed, the bread is torn, and the whole endeavor turns into much more work and fuss than one would expect of such a tiny little sandwich. Well, here's a hint to making that perfect tea sandwich. It's so simple, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself!

Make the sandwich as if you were getting ready to eat it: put all the ingredients on a full slice of bread and cover with another full piece of bread. Then, use your favorite cookie cutter on the prepared sandwich. With one swift move, the bread and the ingredients inside, are precisely shaped, making the perfect presentation! (usually, folks try to cut the bread first, and make the sandwich after. That really can leave the sandwich looking sloppy. So, at your next tea party, remember that making the perfect tea sandwich is really very simple: make the sandwiches FIRST, and then cut them into shape). To keep sandwiches from drying out, my mom says that my grandmother used to place a damp kitchen towel over them until it was time to serve. I recommend first covering them with a sheet of wax paper, and then the damp dish towel, so that the bread doesn't get soggy.

Planning a tea party and have no time to make you're own tea sandwiches? I am happy to recommended one of my favorite services of all time: TeaSandwiches.com.

Le Petit Chef is owned and operated by Diane Montgomery and located in Radnor Pennsylvania, but they ship across the country. You can check out their tea sandwich selection and pricing here.
